Dark Chocolate and Pistachio Dates

These double dipped chocolate pistachio dates are an easy, healthy, and beautiful treat. With only three ingredients and minimal kitchen equipment required, they are the perfect dessert to make for beginners.




Ingredients:

  • 4oz bar of baking chocolate

  • 8-12 oz container of dates (pitted or unpitted)

  • About 1/2 cup of chopped pistachios


Directions:

  1. If dates are not pre-pitted, take a small knife and remove all the pits.

  2. Chop pistachios into fine crumbles. Melt chocolate on low in microwave or on the stove using a double boiler until smooth and spreadable.

  3. Dip one side of the date into the chocolate and cover the bottom with pistachio crumbles. Place on plate or wax paper and continue until all dates are covered.

  4. Refrigerate for 5-10 minutes until chocolate is completely hardened. To double-dip, repeat on the other side.

  5. Serve chilled with extra chocolate and pistachios!
